As a contemporary impressionist painter, I’m obsessed with capturing light. The consistent theme of light and shadow is what attracts me to this medium. My representations of nature and life attempt to embrace both realism and impressionism. Through loose, at times impressionistic application, I aim for realism with a painterly impressionistic twist, but sometimes allow the rich hues and textures of a scene to dominate.

I am inspired by nature, humanity, and paintings of the masters.
I am also encouraged by the talents of artist friends and colleagues, hoping to be as good as them some day. I always strive to learn & grow, knowing that there will be many failures as successes along the way.
