FAQs and LEGAL STUFF

HOW DO I BUY AN ORIGINAL?

I create as many paintings as possible and release them in collections on my website a few times per year. This will be well advertised before hand via my newsletter to the VIP mailing list, so my collectors can have first chance to purchase a piece of new art. These paintings tend to go pretty quickly, so be sure to be prompt!

Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing full or partial rights to your painting.  Some collectors choose to purchase my right to reproduce the artwork to ensure it will never become a print.  I am totally happy to discuss that with you if you would like!

After 5 days from the release of the newsletter, I will post the collection on my site and notify social media, and my blog.  Of course, any original painting already listed on my web site is available until the painting is listed as sold.

CAN I COMMISSION A PAINTING?

Please contact me for commission work. I will be happy to work with you to create a painting specially made for you. Keep in mind that for commission work, I’ll need to charge 3 to 4 times the cost of my paintings available on this site. Commission work requires 100% advance payment of estimate to proceed. Also keep in mind that there are limitations to the size of water color papers available, with 22″ x 30″ the largest size I paint on. I do not paint pet or people portraits, so please don’t ask.

PRINT QUALITY & DETAILS

I use the best archival technology, inks and 100% acid-free cotton rag papers available. Please see my page on Fine Art Prints for more info.

FRAMING

I do not offer framing services at this time. Framing is a personal and subjective matter that needs to fit into the space, decor, and person that it will be hung by.

I highly encourage framing all your originals and prints. Not only do they look incredibly beautiful framed, but it will help to protect your fresh artwork from damage and fading. Make sure you get your art matted, instruct the framer to use acid-free materials. I also recommend museum quality UV glass.

WOULD YOU LIKE  A DIFFERENT SIZED PRINT?

I do have different size options available for prints other than what is listed on this site. Keep in mind that although a different size print can be made—the edition number signed on the print will be the next highest sequential number available in the Master edition listed in the pricing table for that print. If the Master edition is at 0 remaining out of 50, then we will not be able to print an additional print.

If you are interested in a different size print, please contact me at info@meyer-creative.com to discuss.

HOW IS MY ARTWORK GOING TO BE SHIPPED?

• All original artwork is packed in an acid-free cello sleeve with acid-free foam core as a backer, padded extremely well, and sent in a well-fitting sturdy cardboard box.
• Most artwork will ship via USPS or UPS, and most packages arrive within 2-4 days (domestic) from time of shipping (includes tracking & insurance).

PRINTS
• All prints are handled with the utmost care, packaged beautifully in paper or plastic sleeve.
• Prints 11″ x 14″ and smaller are mailed in a sturdy flat mailer while prints 16″ x 20″ and larger are mailed in a thick tube.
• Shipped via USPS 1st Class Mail or Priority Mail (usually arrives within 1-3 days within the US).

International Shipments
I do not offer international shipping at this time.

RETURNS

Every order, commission, and sale is handled with care and as much clarity and transparency as possible. My goal is for you to be completely thrilled with your purchase! Please read about our return policy here for more information on the process.

Studio Sale pieces are a final sale. We are unable to accept items that are purchased on sale for return or exchange. We will not be sending individual descriptions and photos of pieces on sale due to being a Seconds Sale item.

PRESS/MEDIA

I love working with bloggers, editors, stylists, and writers! There are many images on my site that you are free to use for your article. Please credit me if you do. If you have any questions, please email me! I am always open to interviews and love sharing my story with the world!

WHO ACTUALLY OWNS THE PAINTING?

I retain all rights to all artwork I create. This includes the rights to the image of sold & commissioned original paintings. I retain the right to make reproductions of any and all artwork I create unless the Collector has purchased the full or partial rights to the artwork (this is in addition to purchasing the original).

The Collector or buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without my written permission.

If the artwork ends up being reproduced in a magazine or other media I only ask for credit.

When you purchase an original painting you, the collector, have the right to display the artwork in your home or business, but the artwork may not be resold or reproduced without my written permission.

Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing full or partial rights to your painting.  Some collectors choose to purchase my right to reproduce the artwork to ensure it will never become a print.  I am totally happy to discuss that with you if you would like!
